Apple’s iPad is having a BIG impact on the world; look no further than the Delta terminal in New York City’s LaGuardia airport.; The Delta terminal has been recently renovated, and is now stuffed with iPads as far as the eye can see.

On Sunday ready for a flight, it was stunning at how extensively the iPad is integrated into the terminal. Want to order food, do it through an iPad. Waiting for your flight, there’s an iPad at every table to visualize the flight schedules, and to browse the web.

This is HUGE news for Apple on two fronts. Firstly, Apple sold hundreds of iPads to OTG, the services enterprise operating in Delta’s terminals. This is a relatively new enterprise market for Apple.

Secondly, thousands of consumers a day will be given a hands-on introduction to the iPad. While it’s a popular device, it’s still relatively new, where the iPad came to market in April, 2010. This is an amazing way for people to get comfortable with the iPad. When, or if these travelers decide to buy a tablet, Apple has been introduced.

The graphs below shoe how folks use their iPads, for reading, browsing, who often are iPads used, iPad vs Traditional PC…
