iResize App ~ Perfect Solution to “Expand” an Image with Not Enough Pixels ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ โ˜…โ˜… โ˜…

July 2, 2013

iResize App is the Perfect Solution to "Expand" an Image that simply does Not have Enough Pixels for a quality print. Images shown on a iPad display screen, require fewer pixels than when printing. For example, the iPad 4 display has a pixel dimension of 2048-by-1536 resolution which delivers the visual image at an amazing 264 pixels per inch (ppi). If you were to do a screen-capture (press HOME-button plus SLEEP-button simultaneously). The resulting image shown in the Photo-Album would have a pixel dimension of 2048-by-1536. Now Divide the length and width figures by 300 to determine the size of the Paper Color Print that this screen-capture image would require; 2048/300 = 6.8" and 1536/300 = 5.1"

โ˜… iResize. Example, the iPad-4 with its very high resolution "retina" display has a pixel dimension of 2048-by-1536 resolution, which delivers the visual image at an amazing 264 pixels per inch (ppi). This retina-display resolution is more than twice the typical laptop or desktop displays. If you were to perform a iPad display screen-capture (press HOME-button plus SLEEP-button simultaneously).

Example, the iPad-2 with its standard resolution display has a pixel dimension of 1024-by-768 resolution, which delivers the visual image at about 132 pixels per inch (ppi). This non-retina-display resolution is about equal to typical laptop or desktop displays. If you were to perform a iPad-2 display screen-capture (press HOME-button plus SLEEP-button simultaneously). The resulting image shown in the Photo-Album would have a pixel dimension of 1024-by-768. Now Divide the length and width figures by 300 to determine the size of the Paper Color Print that this screen-capture image would require; 1024/300 = 3.4" and 768/300 = 2.6"

โ˜… iResize Question. Why would someone want to ReSize an image? There are several situations where reSizing is desired. Example : Lets say you have taken a picture, a beach front street scene, and desire to crop away the Hotel and the Background, leaving a Portrait Image of Marilyn, the Female Subject. Although the original image from the iPhone 5 is 8MP, after the crop is performed, the resulting image is only 600×900 pixels; There are only enough pixels to print a 2"x3" color print.

โ˜… iResize Solution: There are not enough pixels in the Cropped image above (600×900 pixels) to print a quality 5"x7" print. A 5×7" print requires 3.2 million pixels for a commercial color printer using the standard 300DPI print engine. The solution is to use a good photo-utility App such as iResize to "up-size" the image to 1500 pixels by 2100 pixels, the perfect pixel-dimension for a 5"x7" color print.

โ˜… iResize has been designed from the ground up, to be easy to use and very fast. The App requires iOS 6.0 or higher. This is generally not an issue for iPhone and iPad users, Apple iOS devices, as over 93% of all iPhone and iPad users have already upgraded to iOS6.

โ˜… iResize supports batch-processing, select as many or as few images as you wish. Resize, rotate, crop, and share. Continue working while your selected actions continues to perform the tasks in the background.
