Apple iPhone Market-Share GROWS +7.8% in USA and +7.8% in GB too 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

🍎 According to Kantar WorldPanel’s report this week, Apple increases its market share to 43.4% despite the fact that Apple has not released a new phone for an entire year. Everyone was calling Apple Dead, with no more cool, and all that garbage.

But the facts tell the truth Apple’s iPhones market share has increased from 35.6% in the 2nd Quarter of 2012 to a striking 43.4% in the 2nd quarter of 2013, even though all the iPhones available for sale are over a year old and facing competition to the Galaxy S4, flagship that was supposed to be the "iPhone Killer" of all time.

🍎 Apple iPhone Market-Share GROWS +7.8% in USA and coincidentally also by +7.8% in GB too. One asks what is happening that Samsung is loosing its Growth. In review of the actual smartphone Activation records by the major carriers, there was no doubt that the Galaxy S4 and Android as a OS group, are peaking, albeit the the sales of massive numbers of "Loss Leaders" Android phones that are given away in Asian markets.

🍎 Another very serious but largely not reported nor editorialized is Fragmentation. Fragmentation of an Operating System presently plagues Android users. There are over 11,500 different Android devices, where over 50% of the users are running on versions of Android OS that are several years old. All these operating system FRAGMENTS, make it very difficult for the App development community and the Device manufacturers to Advance, and Keep up with competitives operating systems, namely Apple’s iOS.

🍎 Fragmentation has also taken a toll in the Security arena, as over 79% of all smartphone Infections occurs on Android smartphones, because the user-base is refusing to adopt the newer safer OS made available to them according to a report recently declassified by the FBI and the Homeland Security Department.

🍎 Why don’t these Android users update their OS? There are several major reasons, firstly, the user is fearful that their smartphone will not run the more sophisticated OS, and secondly, the users are fearful that a majority of their Apps will not work with the new OS… hence, over 50% of Android users "take a pass" on upgrading their OS. Conversely, over 94% of Apple’s user-base upgrades to each new iOS release soon after the iOS release.

🍎 What is the result of Android Fragmentation, the Malware and Spyware Vulnerabilities of Android, give reason for defections elsewhere… About 26% of existing Android users Defect to Apple. Apple’s retention rate is about 95%. This all adds up to sustained Market Share movement towards Apple mobile devices.

🍎 More Importantly Apple’s iPhone 5 which is one year old, is out selling Samsung’s Galaxy S4 which is their flagship smartphone released several months ago. Even More stunning, the Apple iPhone 4S, which is 2 years old, is also out selling Samsung’s Galaxy S4 flagship.

🍎 Apple’s Increase in Market Share of 7.8% is HUGE, no other way to describe it. Apple’s Release of their iPhone 5S flagship with Biometric Cryptographic Fingerprint Security among other incremental improvements to speed, memory camera operation, and the iPhone 5C giving folks an "entry level" iPhone opportunity, should really give Apple another Positive JOLT of Sales for the Balance of the year.

🍎 Dominic Sunnebo, an analyst at Kantar Worldpanel said, “Apple and Android must focus on a balance between retaining existing customers and attracting feature phone owners to trade up if they want to continue their success over the next year."
