PDF Expert 5 – The Best PDF App is now Better to Annotate, Highlight Text, Make Notes, Fill-in-Forms, Preview & Adobe Acrobat Compatible. PDF Expert – The Best PDF App to Annotate, Highlight Text, Make Notes, Fill-in-Forms, Preview & Adobe Acrobat Compatible.

PDF Expert 5 is the shiny new version of one of the best PDF and document handling apps for iPad. Just released this week, it is updated Version 5 for iOS 7 with a fresh, flat design and a wealth of powerful features for working with PDFs.

In our review of iPad and iPhone Apps, I bring focus to those Apps that, after hours of experimentation and trial, become our Go To App for literally “anything having to do with PDF files.” PDF Expert Version 5 is a major improvement with the previous version, coupled with being engineered to take advantage of Apple’s iOS7 operating system release in September, 2013.

As you can see in the screencap above the app also boasts a new PDF viewer, support for AirDrop, a new file manager, and more. If you had a previous version installed PDF Expert 5 prompts you to import your docs and settings the first time you open it.

Aside from PDF, the app’s supported file formats include iWork, MS Office files, text files, and image and video files. It also provides easy access to Dropbox, Google Drive / Docs, and in Skydrive – and of course it supports the iOS ‘Open In’ feature so you can choose to pull in documents from other apps on your iPad.

Here are a few of the important capabilities of the PDF Expert v5 App
– Highlight Text
-Mark important things in books, journals or documents you want to review
– Fill Forms
-Work with static PDF forms created in Adobe Acrobat
– Create Notes -Add comments to the texts you read
– Draw with your finger-Use it to make handwritten notes or highlight text in scanned books
– Make Bookmarks
-Create table of contents for your document right on the iPad
– Review Documents
-Mark-up errors and place special emphasis on important sentences
– Sign Contracts
-Additional types of PDF annotations are coming in the next updates.

PDF Expert allows you to read and annotate PDF documents, highlight text, make notes and save these changes being compatible with Preview and Adobe Acrobat. Moreover, PDF Expert is the only iPad / iPhone application that can fill PDF forms.

This is one of the very few PDF Apps that I’m aware of that conveniently permits adding PDF pages, deleating PDF pages, rearranging PDF pages, copy and paste PDF pages, yellow-highlight words or sentences on any PDF page, make notes on PDF page[s], all within this App. DropBOX is a convenient location to have one’s PDF files stored and saved. Simply highlight the PDF file while in DropBOX, using the Action Arrow at screen-top-right, open the chosen PDF file in PDF EXPERT. Once this App is installed, it will become one of the Apps that will be "tiled" within the "Open-With" menu screen. Once selected, your PDF file will be opened with PDF Expert.

PDF Expert can get documents from any place you may need. PDF files from desktop computers, email attachments, documents on the Dropbox, GoogleDocs, and even in other iPad applications could be accessed with PDF Expert.

Annotations made with PDF Expert are saved within the document in accordance with PDF format specification. Thus PDF Expert can edit highlights, text notes and other annotations created in Apple Preview or Adobe Acrobat Reader and vise versa. At the same time this lets you share annotated files with friends and co-workers.

PDF forms made with Adobe Acrobat are supported in PDF Expert. Text fields, check boxes, radio buttons and other form elements work as you expect and all information you entered is saved inside the form. Please note that Dynamic XML PDF Forms made with Adobe LifeCycle should be converted to Static PDF Forms format before using with PDF Expert. With PDF Expert you can:

As many of my friends, family and students know, I am an avid iPad adopter since its release mid-year 2010. With Apple’s release of the Retina-Display iPad Mini, I will be changing to it soon with 128GB of Storage and Logitech’s UltraThin Keyboard Cover; however, the WiFi only model. My thought is there are so many WiFi zones available these days, investing in the $130 LTE Cellular chipset upgrade is mitigated by my iPhone 5S with its "HOT SPOT" capability. Therefore, if I have migrated into non-WiFi area, or I desire a more Secure Internet Connection, its very easy to Activate my iPhone’s Hot Spot, which serves as a mini-router, accepting up to 5 WiFi enabled devices, for internet connectivity.
