βœ” Notability App is the Best Selling and Best note-taking App for the iPad, iPhone. Notability is extremely powerful that it will transform how you work: sketch ideas, annotate documents, sign contracts right on your iPad’s or iPhone’s display in many colored “inks”, complete worksheets, keep a journal, jot travel notes, teach a class, make a presentation and much more. With iCloud support, your notes stay up to date on all your iOS devices. You may store all your Notes on your DropBox automatically.

βœ” We started using Notability in the last year on our iPads and love it. It allows for quick and easy capture of notes while interviewing clients or jotting down ideas during work. One can type in text or use a stylus and draw/scribble notes and drawings. I can also take photos of things and then scribble on them. One can capture audio if you want too. There’s alot of ways to capture information. Notice the “App of the Week” image, captured from Apple’s App Store. Normally this App is listed for $2.99 this week its Free.

βœ” Once you capture the info, you can either leave it on the iPad, email it to yourself, or use any number of cloud services (e.g., Dropbox) to save the output. The output can be PDF, RTF or other formats. It’s a great app, and I didn’t hesitate to pay the $2.99 for it. But now it is presently free for the week, there is no reason for you not to download a copy and try it. I bet you will love it.

βœ” Notability App. A Practical Use Example. Lets assume you are on vacation at your summer Cottage. There is internet WiFi. However, not much else, No Printer, No Scanner.

βœ” Your secretary needs to have you sign a Proposal so she can sent it out while you are out of town. The only equipment you have is an iPhone and an iPad. Voila, no problem with the Notability App.

βœ” Fast Solution, have your secretary email to you a PDF file of the “ready to send, edited” Proposal needing to be signed by you. Open the eMail where the PDF file is attachment. Sometimes, the email will show the PDF file as a miniature “image” of the PDF page, in which case Touch-and-Hold your finger onto the PDF-file-image, for a second or two. A Menu Box will pop-open as shown, with all the Apps you have on your iPad that are capable of opening PDF files. Select, Tap the Blue Icon with a Pencil in the Center, the Notability App.

βœ” Choose “Open In Notability” with a Tap of your finger, the PDF file will open using the Notability App. Notice the Pen/Pencil at the top menu-bar of Notability. Tap the Pen/Pencil Icon which is presently Dark Blue, to change the Color of the “Ink” to a variety of 15 colors. There are also choices for the thickness of the signature ink-pen, swerving, etc. Experiment with these settings to get your signature just right. Using the Curved Arrow icon at top-center-left, this will undo, as you experiment. Simply find the place on the Document that you want to sign, and using your finger sign right onto the iPad’s Display. Your signature will be imbedded permanently into the PDF file. Save this File, send the File, place it into DropBox, for your Secretary to access. using the Action Box at Top-Left of the Notability App.

βœ” Notability App. The process above mentioned is the Simplest I’ve seen, for “Signing” a Document with colored Inks, where the “signature” is very high resolution, no jiggy-jaggies that are typical for low-resolution “signing tools” with other Apps. And where, the only equipment needed is an iPad, or an iPhone, and WiFi access, or 3G, 4G, LTE Cellular Service. No need for printing, no need to scan your signed pages. Simply Sign the PDF file and email the PDF back.

βœ” Notability App. One More thing. Sometimes when receiving an email on your iPad, the PDF file will appear as a Box that has PDF in its center, and the file name of the PDF file. In this case, touch the file-attachment box, which will initiate the opening of the PDF file. The PDF file will give an Opening View, and notice the Action Box at Top-Right corner, touch the Action Box; once you touch the Action-Box, a menu of Apps will appear for you to select the icon named “Open In Notability,” the Blue Icon with a Pencil at its center image.

βœ” Your signature is now imbedded permanently into the PDF file. Save this File, send the File, place it into DropBox, for your Secretary to access. using the Action Box at Top-Left of the Notability App.

βœ” Notability App. We thought we had the best "Notes App" until we tried the Notability App by Ginger Labs. We highly recommend this App.

βœ” Notability App. This app combines all kinds of note taking techniques and tools – handwriting, recording, typing, organizing, and PDF annotation, so you can have them with you in one convenient place. The idea is that instead of dealing with piles of books and paper that you’ve made notes on, you’ll have everything neatly stored on your iPad.

βœ” Notability App. The App makes use of Retina Ink so the quality is extremely sharp. Use the zoom window to help you draw details and be sure to keep your palm on the palm rest so it doesn’t make marks on your page. You’re able to select the paper and pen you want.

βœ” Notability App. The app permits the user to take word-processing an "extra mile" by offering advanced features such as text boxes, outlining, spell check, bullet points, italics, bold, underline, cursor controls, font presets, and other styling tools.

βœ” Write, Illustrate and annotate using gorgeous retina ink. Notability’s zoom window helps you quickly and clearly draw every detail, while the palm rest protects your notes from unwanted marks. Choose the right pen and paper for any project.

βœ” Import Forms, contracts, worksheets, documents, presentations, and even books; then use the same tools that help you take beautiful notes in Notability to mark up PDFs. Do you have files in other formats such as doc or ppt? Notability can import these too thanks to Google Drive.

βœ” Write an Essay, create an outline, fill out an application, or make a list with Notability’s advanced word processor. Choose a font, style, color, and size that enhances your work. Even place text exactly where you want using text boxes.

βœ” Record Lectures and meetings, your own voice practicing a speech, or help a child learn to read with a recording. Also, audio recordings are an excellent review tool as they are linked to your notes; during playback, tap a word or picture and hear what was said at that moment.

βœ” Finding Information quickly is an important part of note-taking. Use search to quickly locate notes by title or content. On iPad, bookmark pages of a note, filter a PDF by annotated pages, or search your note for a keyword in the page navigator.

βœ” Organize your Notes by subject in the library and automatically backup all of your work to Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, or webDAV. Also, use these services, plus email and twitter, to share your Notability files with colleagues, classmates, students or teachers. iCloud will ensure that all of your notes are automatically up to date on your iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

βœ” Notability App gives life to your ideas, stores your notes, and improves your memory and organization. We hope you enjoy using it as much as we do. The App Developer always appreciates hearing from its customers, so join them on Facebook and Twitter, or send an email.

βœ” The Notability App was initially released on April 1, 2010. From August, 2013 there have been 25 updates, which is a good sign, in that the App Developer is sensitive to user suggestions, and incorporates improvements regularly. PharmacoGenetic Screening: Having been trained in Molecular Biology and BioChemistry, I have an avid interest in PharmacoGenetics and DNA Screening. Patients that have been screened, have a 99% better result when Doctors prescribe FDA medications, taking into account your unique genetic profile.

Last year over 2,200,000 patients taking properly prescribed FDA Approved Drugs, experienced Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR); of those millions 770,000 experienced an avoidable ADR requiring Hospitalization, and 100,000 of those 700,000 patients, the ADRs resulted in fatalities, more than triple the number of Highway deaths in the USA. Genomic DNA Testing done once in one’s Lifetime, will give Physicians valuable information guiding them in prescribed FDA Approved medications taking into account the patients unique genetic profile.

As many of my friends, family and students know, I am an avid iPad adopter since its release April, 2010. With Apple’s release of the Retina-Display iPad Mini, (I sold my iPad 4 to Gazelle.com) applied the proceeds to purchase the "mini" with 128GB of Storage, AT&T connectivity, plus added Logitech’s UltraThin Keyboard Cover, and an ACME MADE San Francisco rubberized thin slip-over protective case. This thin package actually fits into my trousers pocket.
